Note
The following information must be provided: Passport or travel document number, place and date of issue, visa type, port and mode of arrival, date of arrival (first date of arrival) and admission period, reason for changing passport or travel document and transferring visa stamp.
In case of foreign national with application for residence in the Kingdom, the date of application for residence as well as the consideration period must be given. If during the consideration period a re-entry permit was issued and the applicant has left and re-entered the country, evidence of the most recent arrival must be given.

Procedure
  1. Contact Counter Lost Passport Section , Immigration Division1 to fill out the request , including name, surname, passport number, date of arrival, and flight number.
  2. Check the details and the correctness of the information and the completeness of the new passport or other travel document. A police report stating the loss of the old passport must be handed in.
  3. Check the evidence of arrival in the Kingdom by computer or with the arrival card (TM. 6) to make sure the applicant has entered the Kingdom legally.
  4. If there is evidence of legal entry to the Kingdom, the visa will be transferred to the new passport.
  5. In case of foreign national with application for extension of stay or residence in the Kingdom: Contact the respective sections according to the visa type or Sub-Division 1, Immigration Division 1, Immigration Bureau, according to circumstances, in order to fill out the request to transfer the visa to a new passport to wait for the result of his application for extension of stay or residence in the Kingdom.
  6. In the provinces, the foreigner fills out a request and proceeds according to the above steps. A letter is then sent to each region immigration center, which sends a copy of the request to Information Center, Immigration Bureau in order to make an entry in database. Notification of residence of foreigners for businesses

According to section 38 of the 1979 immigration act, “House owners, heads of household, landlords or managers of hotels who accommodate foreign nationals on a temporary basis who stay in the kingdom legally, must notify the local immigration authorities within 24 hours from the time of arrival of the foreign national.” If there is no immigration office in the province or locality of the respective house or hotel, the notification is made to the local police station. In Bangkok the notification is made to the Immigration Bureau. The notification of residence of foreign nationals is made by the manager of licensed hotels according to the hotel act, owners of guesthouses, mansions, apartments and rented houses using the form TM. 30.
The notification of residence of foreign nationals within 24 hours can be made in a number of ways to make the notification as convenient as possible:

  • In person at the respective office, or
  • Through an authorised person at the respective office, or
  • By registered mail, or
  • Via internet.
Filling in the foreign national residence notification form (TM. 30)

Please fill in all requested information according to the foreign national’s passport, as often arriving passengers do not fill in the correct data on the arrival card. The form can be typed or handwritten in clear block letters. Leave a space between name, middle name, and surname.

If the passport number is preceded or followed by a letter, fill in the letter too.
Write the arrival card number (TM. 6) in the respective field. The arrival card is stapled into the passport. Both letters and numbers of the arrival card number must be filled in.
Arrival date means the date of arrival in Thailand. Date of accommodation must be filled in on the front page of the notification sheet.
After the officer in charge has verified the information on the notification sheet (TM. 30), he accepts the notification and hands over the lower part of the form to the person making the notification. This part must be kept for further checking.

Registration by businesses via Internet.

Prepare the documents

  1. Business licence or signed copy of business registration confirmation
  2. Letter of authorisation to conduct the registration via internet
  3. Copy of ID card of person giving authorisation and authorised person
  4. Fill in the form provided by the officer (download)
  5. 1 empty compact disk (CD)
Hand over the complete documents to the officer in charge.
  • The officer examines the documents.
The officer announces the result of the examination.
  • If documents are incomplete, the business owner is notified.
  • If documents are complete, the officer in charge accepts the registration. The registration code is sent to the business by mail or e-mail as indicated by the business owner, together with record forms.
Notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days

Procedure and notification

  1. The foreigner makes the notification in person, or
  2. The foreigner authorises another person to make the notification, or
  3. The foreigner makes the notification by registered mail.
  4. The notification must be made within 15 days before or after 7 days the period of 90 days expires.
  5. The first application for extension of stay by the foreigner is equivalent to the notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days.

  2. One Stop Center for Visa and Work Permits located at Chamchuri Square Buliding , Floor 18, Phayathai Rd. Phatumwan, Bangkok (Only the specific law)
    Services are provided only to foreigners who have already submitted an application for temporary stay in the kingdom of thailand.
  3. Immigration Service Center for 3 National Legalized Labors ( Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia) at Major Hollywood Suksawat or Imperial World Ladprao Only special Labor of three Nationalities Loas , Cambodia and Mynmar residing in Bangkok.
  4. Immigration offices throughout the country
Notification by registered mail
  1. Photocopy of passport pages with following pages
    – front page showing name / surname / Passport No., ect.
    – current visa
    – last entry stamp of immigration
    – last extension of visa

  4. Completely filled in and signed notification form TM.47 click to view Example document (Don’t forget to sign name.)
  5. Envelope with 10 Baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. This part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days.
  6. The above mentioned documents must be sent by registered mail and the receipt of the registration kept by the foreigner.

Notice :
– Your registered mail must be sent to the Immigration office at least 15 days before the due date of notification.
– Your new form will be stamped as of the expiration date of your old receipt.
– Please keep your receipt of your registered mail in case of lost mail.
– Your document can not be processed if you have passed the 90 days limit. ( You must come to the nearest immigration office or Immigration Division 1 in person to pay fine 2,000 Baht)
– Waiting for reply mail over 1 month, please contact Immigration Office with your registered mail receipt.

Note

  • The notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days is in no way equivalent to a visa extension.
  • If a foreigner staying in the kingdom over 90 days without notifying the Immigration Bureau or notifying the Immigration Bureau later than the set period, a fine of 2,000.- Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he will be fined 4,000.- Baht.
  • If a foreigner leaves the country and re-enters, the day count starts at 1 in every case.

Regulations concerning bail amounts of the Investigation Group of the Immigration Bureau

Bail 100,000 baht cash (Thai nationals), 200,000 Baht (foreigners), securities twice the amount of cash bail.
5 Bring into the kingdom or assist in any way foreign national entering the kingdom illegally according to the 1979 immigration act (section 64): Imprisonment of up to 10 years, fine of up to 100,000 Baht, or both. Bail 100,000 baht cash (Thai nationals), 200,000 Baht (foreigners), securities twice the amount of cash bail.
6 Enter and stay in the kingdom without having obtained permission (according to sections 11, 12(1), 18 paragraph 2, 62, 81 of the 1979 immigration act): Imprisonment of up to 2 years, fine of up to 20,000 Baht. Bail 40,000 baht cash, securities twice the amount of cash bail.
7 Stay in the kingdom beyond the allowed period (according to section 81 of the 1979 immigration act): Imprisonment of up to 2 years, fine of up to 20,000 baht. Bail 40,000 baht cash, securities twice the amount of cash bail.
8 Offences of the 1997 act regarding the trade in women and children ccording to the criminal code concerning sexual offences. Bail 200,000 baht cash (Thai nationals), 400,000 Baht (foreigners), securities twice the amount of cash bail.

Visiting procedures are the responsibility of Command 3 Investigation Interrogate Center, Immigration Bureau.
Detainees may receive visitors on working days Mon-Fri, 11.00-12.00 h.

The following documents must be produced:

Items allowed to be brought into the visiting area:
  1. food and drinks
  2. personal utensils
Visiting procedures:

  1. produce the required documents to the officer in charge
  2. deposit forbidden items
  3. pass the arms and bombs screening gate
  4. pass a body and bag search
  5. visit the detainee in his/her cell
  6. leave the cell before 12.00 h

Note
– General visiting hours: 11.00-12.00 h,
– Embassy visiting hours 10.00-11.00 h and 14.00-15.30 h, Monday through Friday.

Repatriation of detainees

Repatriation of detained foreigners is the responsibility of Command 3 Investigation Center, Immigration Bureau, which is in charge of assembling the necessary documents of foreigners who have been sentenced and are repatriated or deported to a third country, including the recording of the relevant data of the deported persona non grata.

Relevant for the repatriation/deportation documents are
  • Passport
  • Repatriation/deportation request
  • Air ticket
  • Expenses such as airfare and airport tax

Note
All documents have to be handed in at least one working day in advance.

ข้อควรทราบ : กรณี คนต่างด้าวเปลี่ยนแปลงนิติบุคคลซึ่งเป็นนายจ้าง หรือพ้นหน้าที่ (เลิกจ้าง/ออกจากงาน)

เมื่อคนต่างด้าวได้รับอนุญาตให้อยู่ในราชอาณาจักรแล้ว จะต้องปฏิบัติหน้าที่ หรืออยู่ตามเหตุผลที่ร้องขอตามที่ได้รับอนุญาตเท่านั้น หากมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงใด ๆ เกี่ยวกับการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ (เปลี่ยนแปลงนิติบุคคลซึ่งเป็นนายจ้าง หรือ พ้นหน้าที่) หรือเปลี่ยนเหตุผลการขออยู่ต่อในราชอาณาจักรแตกต่างไปจากที่ร้องขอ
การอนุญาตให้อยู่ต่อในราชอาณาจักรดังกล่าวจะสิ้นสุดลงทันที และจะต้องถูกดำเนินการตามกฎหมายต่อไป ทั้งนี้รวมถึงครอบครัวผู้ใช้สิทธิติดตามด้วย
– รายการเอกสารประกอบการแจ้งยกเลิกวีซ่า กรณีเปลี่ยนแปลงนิติบุคคลซึ่งเป็นนายจ้าง หรือพ้นหน้าที่ (เลิกจ้าง/ออกจากงาน) ณ กก.2 บก.ตม.1 มีดังนี้
1.  จดหมาย ถึงสำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง เพื่อแจ้งคนต่างด้าวพ้นหน้าที่ (โดยจะต้องระบุวันที่ออกจากงานให้ชัดเจน หากไม่ระบุวันที่ออกจากงาน จะถือว่าออกจากงานตามวันที่ที่ออกจดหมาย) ลงนามโดยกรรมการผู้มีอำนาจลงชื่อผูกพันบริษัท หรือห้างหุ้นส่วนจำกัด
2. สำเนาหนังสือรับรองการจดทะเบียนบริษัท หรือการจดทะเบียนห้างหุ้นส่วนจำกัด ฉบับนายทะเบียนรับรองไม่เกิน 6 เดือน
3. สำเนาบัตรประชาชน หรือสำเนาหนังสือเดินทางของกรรมการผู้มีอำนาจลงชื่อผูกพันบริษัท พร้อมลงชื่อกำกับรับรองสำเนาถูกต้อง
4. หนังสือเดินทางของคนต่างด้าวผู้พ้นหน้าที่ (เจ้าหน้าที่ต้องประทับตราพ้นหน้าที่ในเล่มหนังสือเดินทางดังกล่าว)
หมายเหตุ :
ทั้งนี้การแจ้งพ้นหน้าที่ (ยกเลิกวีซ่า)จะทำให้การอนุญาตอยู่ต่อในราชอาณาจักรสิ้นสุดลงทันที จะต้องมาติดต่อเจ้าหน้าที่เพื่อแจ้งพ้นหน้าที่ในวันที่เลิกจ้าง (วันสุดท้ายของการทำงาน) และกรุณาติดต่อแจ้งยกเลิกวีซ่ากับด่านตรวจคนเข้าเมืองเดิมที่ท่านได้เคยยื่นคำร้องขออยู่ต่อในราชอาณาจักรไว้
